Jason Mcclendon

Pastor Jason E. McClendon is the Senior Pastor/Teacher of Community Church of God in Macon, Georgia. Community Church of God is a vibrant, multi-generational congregation of believers who are significantly impacting their circles of influence by loving people extravagantly.  Under his visionary leadership the church has experienced growth both numerically and spiritually. 

Originally from Northern CA, Pastor Jason McClendon descends from a long lineage of pastors, teachers, and preachers that have exponentially impacted his life.  He is known as a sound revelatory preacher/teacher, and a friend to the weary traveler. He has a deep love for his family. His wife Sylvia, his daughter Jaysha, and his son Jared.  His presentation of the Word is fresh and relevant. Providing instruction and inspiration to people from all walks of life. Pastor McClendon's mandate is to love people by meeting them where they are and inviting them to belong so they can believe. His humble demeanor and willingness to serve people is both refreshing and empowering. He encourages people to embrace and fulfill their God-given assignment in both the church and in the marketplace. Pastor McClendon leads by example in loving his city well by serving on several boards and partnering with other civic and non-profit organizations. His commitment and involvement in ministry, reaches far beyond the four walls of the church and the local community of Macon. 

He serves as the Southeastern Urban Missions Director of The U.S. for the Global Church of God. He also serves as the Credentials Chairman for the State of Georgia Fellowship of the Church of God which helps provides oversight to over 56 congregations. He is also the visionary leader of the Community Empowerment Center Inc. in which he serves as the Chief Operating Officer (www.cecmacon.org), and serves as a Chaplain for Macon-Bibb County Sheriff’s Department. Pastor McClendon is also the Chairman of the Macon-Bibb Council for Racial & Social Economic Justice (Formerly Macon-Bibb Council of Clergy). Throughout the country he has ministered to various congregations, conventions, and conferences.  Globally, he has touched the lives of individuals in countries such as Mexico, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Honduras, England, United Arab Emirates, Canada, Cayman Islands, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, and the Bahamas. 

 Pastor McClendon’s favorite scripture is Acts 10:38 “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”
